This area is designed for kids ages 3 to 8 and is a place where parents and grandparents can rest and watch the kiddos have fun. Kids Country is located within Volunteer Village on the west side of the Fair. Kids Country opens at 11 a.m. daily. Map
McDonald's ® Kids Country is new this year. We wanted to add an environment for stay at home moms and dads, as a destination for mother's day out programs and day care centers to bring their kids for a few hours. Parking is free. This day of fun and laughter will send you home with a camera full of photos and enough memories to last a lifetime. We're willing to bet the kids sleep well that night! We will offer plenty of seating and shade throughout the area and a misting tent to keep you cool.
There will be plenty of activities for the children to enjoy. The Davidson County Sheriff's Deputies will be on hand to offer child-fingerprinting and give tips to parents about child safety. Kids can enjoy the petting zoo, super bounces, rope 'em corral, sand box, silly picture area and a sidewalk chalk area.
Kids Country is a smoke free environment. No adults are admitted without children and children over 8 accompanied by their parent must obey height and weight restrictions. There are kiddie rides in the midway which opens at 5 p.m. and families can experience cows, sheep, pigs, chickens and rabbits on "the hill" from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily.
