PLEASE NOTE: The Tennessee State Fair in conjunction with Kroger is dropping regular gate admission price to $5 TODAY through Friday evening. We have a large quantity of tickets we are offering at this discounted rate due to rainy conditions. While rain does not stop the competitions, exhibits or up to 75% of the rides, we want to continue to make the next three days the BEST State Fair this city has seen.
The State Fair offers over 129,000 square feet of indoor exhibit space and over 60,000 of covered livestock and show arenas. We are moving entertainment indoors such as: Safari Acrobats, BMX Stunt bikes, Tropical Illusions magic show, Purity Stage entertainment, inflatables, hula hoops, wii bowling, guitar hero, railroad exhibits, and green energy expo. There is more to see and do INDOORS at the Tennessee State Fair than ever before and fair organizers. No other discounts apply.

New Hours of Operation
This year the Tennessee State Fair will be opening "the hill" as some call it at 10 a.m. each morning with access to: Greenway Energy Expo, all livestock and agricultural exhibits, Game Hype Experience, Family Fun Zone, Volunteer Village & Kids Country, Petting Zoo, Racing Pigs and so much more from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
New Parking Gate
FREE PARKING and Daytime Entrance ONLY is through GATE 1 off Bransford Avenue (map) and entrance to the Midway opens at 5 p.m. daily. Please observe directional signs surrounding as you get closer to the fairgrounds.
New Ticket Gate Hours
Stay as long as you like, but the entrance gates will close every night at 10:30 p.m. while the park remains open to midnight and some nights even beyond.
Remember
Opening Night is Friday, September 11, 2009. The gates open at 5 p.m. with FREE admission for EVERYONE from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., and FREE admission for sworn officers, active military and ems/fire (with badge) and their family of 4 in honor of 9/11 the entire evening until 10:30 p.m. All are encouraged to attend Opening Ceremonies at 7:00p.m. as city officials pay tribute to those who have served and who continue to serve and protect our homes, our streets and our nation.
